Education

Education has long played an important role across the North-West Region. Primary and secondary schools serve communities in urban centres such as Bamenda and Kumbo as well as smaller towns and villages. Higher-education institutions, including universities and specialised colleges, are present in the region and in neighbouring areas.

Alongside formal schooling, community learning through palace institutions, family teaching and cultural events remains a central part of how heritage and skills are passed on.
